Kelley Blue Book Takes A Detailed Look At The 2018 VW Atlas

If you're still torn about the all-new 2018 VW Atlas, this in-depth review might just help you make up your mind.

Behind the wheel of this Atlas SUV is Kelley Blue Book editor Zach Vlasuk, somebody who's tested his fair share of compact and full-sizes SUVs.

According to him, the Atlas more than makes up for any negatives by offering the driver strong driving characteristics, plenty of passenger and cargo room, good interior materials and practicality, plus excellent tech features (for its segment).

The large and boxy Atlas is also surprisingly easy to maneuver around town, with strong sight lines, good braking feel and a decent turn radius. Compared to other three-row crossovers, the Atlas definitely has multiple aces up its sleeve, as our own Zac Estrada pointed out earlier this year.

In the end, perhaps the biggest takeaway from this review is the fact that, as Vlasuk puts it, the Atlas "drives like a mid-size, hauls like a full-size," which is more than you could say for something like a Nissan Pathfinder or a Toyota Highlander.
