When it comes to the car modification scene, there are some seriously confusing niches which will leave most scratching their heads.
Unquestionably one of the most bizarre of these is internationally rusting the exterior of your car, like this Lexus IS, recently shared on Reddit.
There are a number of ways to achieve such a finish. For starters, a truly dedicated fan of rust may decide to scratch up their paintwork and cover it with salt water or even hydrogen peroxide. In a matter of minutes, a steel panel will look old and neglected.
Alternatively, there are a range of vinyl wraps which give off the impression of rust and as the plastic bumpers of this Lexus even have a rust effect, we’d be inclined to think that’s what the owner has done. Alternatively, paints which provide a rust effect are also an option.
If you ask me, all options are pretty questionable, but, whatever floats your boat.
