Jalopnik’s brave expedition into the world of TV has kicked off following the launch of Car Vs. America, the first episode of which recently aired on Fusion and is available below.
In the inaugural episode, Hosts Mike Ballaban and Raphael Orlove headed to North Carolina to explore, and participate in, the wondrous world of skidplate racing.
For those that don’t know, skidplate racing involves removing the rear wheels from a car and replacing them with metal plates. It’s all pretty bizarre and is a form of motorsport where contact is very much encouraged.
For those living in the U.S., Car Vs. America airs on Fusion at 8 p.m. ET and PT every Wednesday night.
