A Porsche 911 Turbo For $50,000? Now That's A Bargain

Any used car buyer looking to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 4 seconds for the price of a new sports car should keep an eye out for previous-generation Porsche 911 Turbo models hitting the used car market.

This Cabriolet, with 17,949 miles (28,886 km) on the clock, is priced at $49,995 on eBay, which is a pretty good deal for something that will out-run literally any $50k new car you could throw at it, and many more expensive ones, too.

Features include automatic air conditioning, cruise control, power locks, power seats, CD player and a 5-speed Tiptronic transmission, among others. As for the blue paint, we figure that if you don't like it, you could easily get it wrapped in whatever color you like.

The ad does specify that despite there being multiple 'Turbo S' inscriptions on it, the car is in fact "just" a 997 Turbo Cabrio, which still means that its 3.6-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine is good for 480 PS and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.

Those figures allow for a 0-62 time of just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h (192 mph). This means it's faster than a brand new 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet at not even half the price.
