Ferrari 458 GT2 Driver Makes A Mess Of Things At Goodwood

One of the multiple incidents that took place at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed featured this Ferrari 458 GT2 that crashed into the hay bales at Molecomb corner.

The car, driven by Heinz Swoboda seems to have been moving at a rather rapid pace for that particular corner, with the driver unable to maintain control once he started going around Molecomb.

A close look at the damage shows that the rear wing came off during impact (also visible at the moment of the crash), though we can also see some light damage to the rear of the 458 race car.

Thankfully, the driver got out of the car unharmed and seemed to be in good spirits as he gave the crowd a "thumbs up". He will however have to live with the fact that had he approached that corner with less speed, the crash probably wouldn't have occurred in the first place.

As for the only victim of this incident, the 458 GT2, we'll remind you that it's a lighter yet less powerful version of the road car, with 470 PS (464 HP) on tap, and a rev limit of 6,250 rpm.
