While the powertrain on this Ford Range remains stock, the rest of the truck has been extensively modified to tackle difficult terrain, and look cool while doing it.
The exterior look is boasted by the flared wheel arches, extra-long travel shocks and the massive 37" off-road tires, while the race-inspired interior features a competition-spec roll cage and not much else.
Despite the constant metallic rattling noise, The Smoking Tire's Matt Farah found this custom Ranger to be quite enjoyable to drive on rough terrain, which included both dirt as well as deep sand.
Farah states multiple times that the steering feels great, and is very direct, even while he was blasting his way through the deep sand portion of the off-road test. The Ranger also looked quite poised as it was being driven at speed over some really bumpy terrain on the Hungry Valley recreational area.
All in all, it looks like it could drive over the harshest piece of land you can think of. The only thing left to do is for the owner of the truck to replace the stock unit with a V8 - which he says is actually the plan.
