The UK has just welcomed the new HSV GTSR, rebadged as the Vauxhall VXR8 GTS-R, to its streets, a few months after the super sedan debuted in Australia.
Only 15 examples of the new GTS-R will land on the shores of Britain, inevitably making it a very in-demand car among local enthusiasts and quite possibly, a rather sturdy investment.
As with the GTSR in Australia, the Vauxhall is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 595 PS (586 hp), not far off what the range-topping, ZR1-powered GTSR W1 pumps out Down Under. Such a figure is also just a handful less than the Mercedes-AMG E63 S and new BMW M5, not that the Vauxhall is a direct rival to either of those two.
Vauxhall hasn’t said what colors its 15 examples will be available in, but the car pictured here is painted in a stunning shade dubbed Slipstream Blue, somewhat more flattering than the bright green recently previewed.
UK enthusiasts will have to fork over 74,500 pounds ($95,747) for the VXR8 GTS-R.
