One Of The World's Cheapest SUVs, Dacia's Duster, Is Getting Renewed

Dacia has shifted into high gear when it comes to the development of their next-generation Duster, with prototypes being spotted on the road more often.

This one appears to have been scooped somewhere in Spain. While maintaining a very affordable price, which in Western Europe, allows it to compete with used cars, the new Duster will be larger offering more space inside for both passengers and their luggage.

The design will be evolutionary adopting lines similar to the rest of the brand's facelifted range, including Dacia's signature grille and new headlights with incorporated LED DRLs. Base versions will come with unpainted bumpers and wheel arch surrounds,. as well as steel wheels to keep prices similar to the current model that starts from as low as £9,495 in the UK.

Dacia's new compact SUV will share components from other Renault-Nissan models, likely being based on an updated version of the current car's platform. It will be offered with a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel powertrains borrowed from Renault.

Since the Dacia Duster is sold as a Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano in different parts of the globe, we should see these re-badged models following shortly after the Duster's presentation later this year.
