30 Years Later, The Ferrari F40 Is Still Phenomenal

Faster and faster performance cars come and go but only an elite few go down in automotive history. The Ferrari F40 is one of them.

Unveiled in 1987, the F40 was the final Ferrari to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari and cemented its position as an iconic driver’s car many moons ago.

Powering the F40 is a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V8 engine with 471 hp mated to a five-speed gated manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Tipping the scales at just over 3,000 lbs (1,369 kg), the F40 perfected the recipe for stripped-backed supercars. To this day, it is incredibly impressive, as Petrolicious describes.

If you could have either the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo or LaFerrari, which would you choose?
