Oh Mon Dieu! 1969 Citroen DS 20 Wagon For Sale

French vintage cars can’t get more…um French than a clean Citroen DS, but a wagon version hits new levels of lovely French-ness.

This 1969 Citroen DS 20 Wagon was sold new in its home country before being imported to Netherlands in 1994. The seller acquired it from its second Dutch owner and has since put the car through an 11-month-long refurbishment process.

This included a repaint in the correct two-tone exterior colors, new moldings and brightwork, a redone interior, rebuilt hydraulic spheres and more. The seats were reupholstered in 2006, with the seller adding a new headliner, carpets and door cards. The dashboard was also paint-matched with the Gris Typhon body color.

These cars become increasingly uncommon and therefore more expensive, especially if they are as well taken care of as this example appears to be. And let’s not forget the ride quality, that mythical feeling, like gliding on a cloud thanks to the hydropneumatic suspension.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter petrol engine mated to a four-speed manual with the shifter mounted on the steering column. As long as you have a proper specialist mechanic near you, this beauty deserves your attention.

This rather gorgeous Citroen DS 20 Wagon (or Break as it was originally called) is currently auctioned over at Bring A Trailer.
