All-New Mercedes A-Class Previews Styling And Tech On Video
Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser video showing the fourth generation A-Class, which debuts this Friday in Amsterdam.

The short clip partially shows the lighting units, grille, profile, and roof-mounted spoiler, revealing something we already knew: the car is inspired by the Concept A Sedan and has a more aggressive appearance than its predecessor.

Opening the door reveals the heavily updated interior, with a new dashboard that incorporates not only tweaked air vents and ambient lighting, but also the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, which was revealed at CES 2018.

The dual-screen setup, available in three different configurations, is touch-operated and features Intelligent Voice Control with Natural Speech Recognition, which can be accessed by saying ‘Hi, Mercedes!’. The unique feature of the system “is its ability to learn thanks to artificial intelligence”, according to the automaker, which will detail it once the car goes official.

Following its premiere in the Netherlands’ capital city from later this week, Mercedes-Benz will bring the new generation A-Class to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, where it will remain from March 6 until the 18th.

Powering the regular models will be several petrol and diesel engines, but later on, plug-in hybrid and electric versions will arrive, alongside the new AMG A35, which will rival the Audi S3 Sportback. The range-topping AMG A45 on the other hand is believed to develop in excess of 400 horsepower.
