Koenigsegg One:1 Gets Some Sun In Southern France

While the Bugatti Chiron might be the hottest name in hypercar circles nowadays, dismissing something as powerful as the Koenigsegg One:1 would be unwise.

This hypercar still merits consideration whenever somebody makes a list of the world’s fastest cars. That’s because it has one megawatt of power, which translates to 1,360 horses and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque.

These figures help the One:1 accelerate to 400 km/h (249 mph) in just 20 seconds, before maxing out at 450 km/h (280 mph). So while the Chiron might be faster flat out, the One:1 is quicker in acceleration.

One of the many reasons why this car manages to climb to such high speeds is the fact that it weighs very little – just 1,360 kg (2,998 lbs) with a half full tank of gas and all the fluids on-board. That’s as much as a VW Golf.

This particular tri-tone example was spotted by EPCSupercars in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, near Monaco, parked behind a hotel next to a Rolls-Royce Dawn and a Bentley Bentayga. That’s one way to keep good company.
