Chris Harris Gets Excited With The New Ferrari 812 Superfast

No less than 800hp in a rear-driven GT; think about that for a moment. Ferrari has gone mental with the successor of the already insane F12.

With the V12 engine now grown to 6.5 liters and sprinkled with all the usual Ferrari magic, the new 812 Superfast is a force to be reckoned with. The 0-62mph (100km/h) acceleration takes 2.9 seconds, despite the only two driven wheels, with 124mph (200km/h) coming in just 7.9 seconds.

The car also gets rear-wheel steering for better agility, all the body panels are entirely new, as is the aero agenda for more downforce, while the dual-clutch gearbox is much faster, both on the upshifts and on the downshifts.

There isn’t a single area that Ferrari left untouched in the transition from the F12 to the 812, and if you think that the F12 was already one of the best ways to spend a fortune, then you probably think the same for the Superfast.

Chris Harris delivers his verdict on the 812 Superfast in the video linked below.
