Zenos To Reveal New-And-Improved E10 Later This Year

After being saved from bankruptcy by a consortium led by AC Cars, niche British sports car maker Zenos is planning to reveal a new E10 in November.

On the back of requests from customers, the company is planning to upgrade the E10 to make it more capable than ever. This will involve a recipe including upgraded brakes with better brake cooling, a new intercooler and a revised exhaust system, Autocar reports.

The finished dish should be a track-focused sports car delivering more than the 250 hp its 2.0-liter turbo’d engine originally offered up, and a car more capable of handling the duress of track driving.

Other changes are also afoot at Zenos. Most notably, the decision has been made to move production from Norfolk all the way to South Africa. According to AC Cars boss Alan Lubinsky, this will result in the E10’s price rising from its original £27,995, a necessary step to ensure the brand can stick around long enough to fight the likes of Radical, Caterham and Lotus.

Zenos will sell the first 25 upgraded E10s as limited edition models and offer the upgrades to existing owners.
